Here’s some ways we've partnered with local leaders to help spread the Gospel over the years.
church planting partnership: okinawa, japan
OkiMission is a missional Home Church movement existing to reach the Lost on the island of Okinawa. Their focus is to reach locals through building relationships, training future leaders, and establishing partnerships to advance the Gospel of Christ.
OkiMission’s long-term vision is to see fully Okinawan Home Churches planted and sending missionaries throughout the Ryukyu Islands & beyond!
equipped to serve scholarships
The training and equipping of future generations is vital to faithfully being on mission with God and producing lasting fruit for the Kingdom. In partnership with local Christian Schools and ministries, we offer various scholarships designed to equip individuals to serve in advancing the Missio Dei (mission of God) — reconciling all of humanity to Himself.
Equipped to Serve Scholarships are provided to graduating High School Seniors that have demonstrated character, service, and potential future impact to their local community and the Kingdom.
Additionally, Equipped to Serve Scholarships are provided to local mission leaders designed to further their theological and cultural foundation within their context. Through partnership with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS), we provide this training through their GO Certificate program.
book: god’s story to the nations (printed/illustrated oral bible story set)
This illustrated book contains the first set of oral stories currently being shared in Maharashtra, India. This book gives an account of God’s Story highlighting the ecological handiwork of the Creator in Genesis 1-11. Each narrative is accompanied by a commentary containing practical application and the significance of God’s work throughout history.
The illustrations created for this book are utilized as a visual accompaniment (portable flip charts, etc.) for storytellers to share the Gospel in the field.
This book publication is intended to reach a wide, English audience globally. We also believe God desires to use this book to reach other cultures. We remain committed to joining Him on mission as He leads!
All book proceeds will go to Go.Partner.Equip, International for future Bible Storying initiatives.
oral bible storying project
Literacy is a major obstacle to the majority of tribal peoples in Maharashtra, India. In collaboration with local mission leaders, we have strategically planned and funded an oral Bible Storying initiative in two local languages.
Local storytellers are trained in Bible storying to be equipped for sharing God’s story in a way familiar to their community (context). Bible storying is being used in both evangelistic outreach and as a discipleship tool among the oral cultures where churches have been planted.
To date, the first set of Bible stories (covering Genesis 1-11) are proving to be very effective among the peoples of Maharashtra, India. The second set of Bible stories (covering Genesis 12-50) are currently in development with the intent of being used in India in the future as God leads.
children’s school
We partner in the operation of two children's schools located in Maharashtra, India which provide safe and healthy learning environments for over 100 students, ages 3-6 years old. The schools serve several tribal people groups who are commonly viewed as outcasts.
Because their access to education has historically been limited, the mission of the schools are to provide a bilingual curriculum with Biblical integration. The schools not only impact students, but also their parents and the local communities through spreading the Gospel. These initiatives have resulted in numerous house churches being planted over the years.
local mission leader support
We partner to provide ministry and relational support to over 50 pastoral families engaged in full-time ministry throughout Maharashtra, India. These families are serving among 28 unreached people groups across the state with a population of approximately 125 million people.
We join local ministry leaders’ in provide training, resources, and holistic support to hundreds of local missionaries. Training and equipping includes conferences and courses such as marriage and family, organizational leadership, and strategic planning.
A major goal is to empower local communities and the Church to be sustainable and love one another well. In 2024, we launched a Missional Entrepreneurship initiative which provides training and grants to local entrepreneurs to start small businesses or income-generating projects. To date, there are 9 total projects underway consisting of agricultural, animal husbandry, and sewing occupations.
Audio bible project
The Lord has been faithful to continually add to the church in Maharashtra, India over the years. However, 60 percent of Believers in the planted house churches are illiterate, which makes discipleship and those Believers being in God’s Word daily very difficult.
In collaboration with local mission leaders, we have strategically planned and funded access to Audio Bibles in two local languages. To date, hundreds of microSD cards have been produced to allow Believers the opportunity to glean from God’s Word through utilization of their readily available electronic device. Audio Bibles continue to have a major impact in discipling Believers and remains an ongoing initiative.
